Washington City Police Building

The City of Washington, Utah select JRCA Architects to assist them in planning and design of a new Police Building. JRCA Architects worked with Washington City to develop a replacement facility of their previously undersized and non-secure facility. The design creates a compact but functional 14,100 square foot facility that has been designed to complement the architecture of the adjacent City Hall. The facility includes secure officer and staff parking and a sally port for detainee transport offering enhanced privacy and security for both officers and the public. The building improves the officer’s ability to interact with the public, creates a safe environment for officers, staff, and public and includes provisions for secure evidence handling. The new facility also provides secure and efficient workspaces for Patrol and Investigative Officers. The scale and architectural character of the new facility promotes a positive and welcoming public perception of the police department.

Size – 14,100 S.F.; Completed – 2015; Location – Washington City, Utah
